Soviet "Bone" Records!

I already posted for the week, but I thought everyone would be really interested in this. Apparently there was an underground piracy economy in Soviet Russia that trafficked in the repurposing of old X-rays as musical records. The video is worth watching and the audio report worth listening to, as the music casts an eery soundscape (reminding me of "the bottleneck of the signifier," wherein recognizable tunes are refracted through the "fuzziness of the real" as a consequence of the materiality of the medium) (Larkin 2008: 239).
